Vermont
The
people, places and images
along Route 100
Route 100 is known to Vermonters and visitors alike as one of
the most beautiful and scenic routes through Vermont. Beginning
at the border with Massachusetts it wends it way through some of
the most spectacular valleys in the state until it finally ends
in the Northeast Kingdom close to the Canadian border. This glorious
production makes many stops along the way: a boat ride on Lake Whitingham,
a visit to the President Calvin Coolidge Homestead, and a look
at the covered bridges of Waitsfield and Warren. No trip up Route
100 would be complete without a brief stop at the Ben & Jerry’s
factory in Waterbury followed by a trip up Jay Peak with snow on
the mountains and autumn foliage below. What a wonderful way to
travel this beautiful road from the comfort of your armchair! 60
